Bimetallic radiator RIFAR MONOLIT B-500 RAL color (side connection)

Model Description

Radiator design Rifar 500

The radiator section is a single steel pipe, which is cast with an aluminum alloy using a special technology under very high pressure. By means of a high-quality silicone gasket of an original design, the sections are connected to one another and a monolithic product is obtained, which has a high strength index and good heat transfer.

Appointment

This model is the most powerful among bimetallic radiators and is designed for large rooms with poor insulation. The high heat dissipation of the radiator guarantees heating and maintaining a comfortable temperature for industrial facilities or living rooms in a house or apartment.

Benefits

  • Bimetallic radiators of the Rifar model line have low thermal inertia and are able to quickly change the heat transfer parameters, that is, they quickly heat up and cool down. This allows them to be used in systems with autothermoregulation, which is their undoubted advantage.
  • Rifar radiators can be used both in houses with centralized heating, and in houses or other objects with an autonomous heating system.
  • They have a high margin of safety, as they undergo pressure testing under high pressure of 30 atmospheres, which ensures safety when used in emergency situations.
  • Radiators have a long service life and protection against corrosion, thanks to a special coating of the inner and outer surfaces.
  • Rifar models provide excellent heat transfer and the maximum possible temperature regime up to 135 degrees.
  • They have a beautiful design and can be painted in any color at the request of the buyer.
  • Radiators can be arranged in a different number of sections.
  • The core is manufactured using a special technology from special steel, as a result of which it is able to withstand very heavy loads and has a low heat transfer, while aluminum ribs are high.
  • With excellent quality and stylish design, they have an attractive price.

Technical features of devices

The reefar bimetallic heating radiator is part of a new series of sectional radiators. They are ideal for the difficult conditions of the central heating system in Russia and the CIS countries.

The products can be used both for the assembly of stand-alone systems and for their installation in centralized systems of apartment buildings.

After all, the technical parameters of the devices were specially developed for our country:

  • The maximum allowable coolant temperature is 135 degrees Celsius.
  • The heat transfer of one section, when used correctly, is 200 watts.
  • To fill each section, only 0.2 liters of coolant is needed.
  • The maximum working pressure is 30 atmospheres.
  • The device has high heat transfer, maximum possible efficiency, low inertness.

The design of the reefar radiators deserves special mention. Its sleek construction and modern appearance fit perfectly into the concept of any interior. At the request of the consumer, the finishing protective and decorative coating can be painted in the desired color. Therefore, the bimetallic battery will easily merge with the decoration of the room and completely dissolve in the interior, becoming invisible. Or it will turn into a design object that sets the necessary accents.

Comparison of bimetallic and aluminum heating radiators

The power of the aluminum and bimetallic radiator sections is identical. which gives them the same performance, but there are some differences in characteristics

which you should pay attention to when choosing batteries

  • Reliability - for an autonomous heating system, in which there is no threat of a water hammer, aluminum equipment will be enough, but if it is supposed to be used in a centralized heating system, it is better to insure yourself and choose a bimetal as more resistant. It is guaranteed to withstand even a serious jump and not leak.
  • Cost is one of the most important criteria that often outweighs any arguments. The cost of aluminum radiators is on average two times lower than the cost of bimetallic ones with equal characteristics. If we compare the price-quality ratio, aluminum wins, but subject to control of the pressure in the system.

Both bimetallic and aluminum radiators will meet their characteristics only if they are produced on modern equipment and according to technology. You should not try to save money and buy a surprisingly cheap model from a little-known manufacturer. Probably, its quality, regardless of the material, leaves much to be desired.

To ensure optimal performance of the heating system, the number of radiator sections per heated area is calculated. Quite often it turns out that a standard radiator is not enough and sections must be added, otherwise the heating will not be effective. Consider how to properly soy.

To get the most efficient heating system with high efficiency and minimum energy consumption, it is necessary not only to select the most suitable radiators, but also to perform the correct installation. Given the increased popularity of bimetallic batteries, let's take a closer look at their connection. P.

In this article, we will consider what is better for a radiator or convector for a reliable and economical heating option for both your apartment and a private house, we will cite several reliable and proven manufacturers who can be entrusted with heating your home. The question of reliable heating comes up before me.

A thermal valve for a heating radiator is a very necessary addition, without which your heating system will not work fully. More precisely, it will work, but it will be impossible for you to regulate the temperature of the system and, accordingly, the temperature regime in the room. In order to.

Types of radiators Rifar

Battery connection
There are several modifications of the described devices, each of which is adapted for specific tasks. For example, domestic Base radiators are presented in three types. They differ from each other not in design, but in center distance (200-350-500).

Note! The dimensions of the radiator depend on the center-to-center distance. The most compact model is suitable only for small rooms, and the reefar radiator with a center section of 500 mm is suitable for large and poorly heated rooms. The price of the battery also depends on this indicator. But even the most expensive reefar radiator is much cheaper than its European counterparts.

For rooms with huge windows, radiators from the Rifar Alp series, which have the highest heat transfer, are ideal. The Ventil 500 and 350 series are unique and one-of-a-kind as they have a bottom eyeliner. New patented technologies have allowed manufacturers not only to improve the design of heaters, but also to expand the range of capabilities of steel and aluminum.

Thanks to such technical features as the bottom connection of the models, the reefar batteries can be easily connected to the existing system. The cost of such products is an order of magnitude higher than models with a conventional type of connection, but the described option has a number of advantages.

Benefits of Bottom Connected Batteries

Rifar in a wooden house
There are several such advantages:

  1. The use of a bottom eyeliner is not only convenient, but also beautiful from an aesthetic point of view. Side-mounted counterparts do not look so harmonious.
  2. Installing batteries with a bottom connection does not take much time and effort. The reefar monolith design does not require connecting valves. And this is additional savings.
  3. Each type of such radiators is patented. Its design and operational resources were specially created for use in domestic heating systems.
  4. Batteries with bottom connection are not picky about the quality of the coolant. In addition, any antifreeze can be used in them.
  5. A thermostat is already built into the battery case, which eliminates the formation of leaks at the installation sites.
  6. Every year, prices for the products of the domestic company are falling, so that reefar radiators are becoming available to the general population.

Flex

The uniqueness of bimetallic radiators of this series lies in the possibility of giving the plane a certain curvature. This model is equipped with base series sections, but thanks to the bracket system, it is possible to produce both convex and concave radiators.

Rifar radiators specifications

The minimum bending radius is 1450 mm. To order radiators of this shape, you must specify the radius and direction of bending. It is noteworthy that all technical parameters are retained regardless of the form.

How to calculate the power of a radiator

Dependence on the number of pipes

No matter how high-quality the batteries are, they will not be able to provide the necessary heat transfer, if initially the calculation of the power and the number of sections was performed incorrectly. The calculation is based on the capacity of one section. It is indicated by the manufacturer in the product specification. But it must be borne in mind that the average indicators can differ significantly from the real ones.

To calculate the heat transfer, the ∆t parameter is used, which is the difference between the air temperature in the heated room and the temperature in the system. In practice, this value rarely exceeds ∆t 50 ° C. At the same time, it is declared by manufacturers as ∆t 70 ° C, which is ideal conditions.

When calculating, it is necessary to take into account other data:

  • The location of the premises in the house.
  • Condition of building structures.
  • Dimensions and location of windows and doors.
  • The materials from which the house is built.
  • The type of boiler equipment used, etc.

The simplest calculation can be done using the formula - the area of the room, multiplied by 100 and divided by the capacity of one section. For example, for efficient heating of a room with an area of 25 sq. m requires 16 sections. This figure is obtained from a simple calculation - 25 × 100/150.

Bimetallic radiators Rifar 500: power and reliability

RIFAR Base product line

Rifar presents to the market three models of bimetallic radiators, different in their axial distance design: 500, 350, 200 mm... All models vary in size, but are visually identical, which makes it possible to install this heating equipment in the same room with different height restrictions, without violating the overall style.

Rifar bimetallic models, depending on the number of sections and the level of heat transfer, have a number of configuration options. This makes it possible for the buyer to choose the necessary heating equipment of the required power and size for a particular room.

Power of one section of aluminum radiator

Such batteries are characterized by 2 types of construction: cast and extrusion. The first is made in the form of separate sections, and the second - in the form of glued or bolted 3 parts. In addition, the aluminum itself used for manufacturing can be primary, i.e. pure raw materials, or secondary, which is produced from scrap or dirty alloys. The price of the latter is much lower. When choosing any model, its performance characteristics are important, which include:

  1. Working pressure - the amount of water exposure that a heater can withstand, while maintaining its original state. Modern devices have this figure from 6 to 16 atmospheres. Devices with low working pressure are used in private houses or apartments, summer cottages and cottages, where the coolant is controlled by the user. In communal heating systems, more reliable products are needed that will withstand pressure surges.
  2. Heat transfer. Heating devices made of aluminum have an advantage over cast iron ones, because they have high thermal conductivity, which leads to the release of the maximum amount of energy into the room. Heat transfer depends on the power of one section of the aluminum radiator and varies from 140 to 200 watts.

RifarBase and Alp radiators

The Base series is the simplest and most convenient for installation in apartment buildings with a standard connection type. Each section has preset parameters for height, width and depth, on which the total heat output depends. The main advantage of the model is the ability to supplement the heating system with the required number of sections, taking into account climatic conditions, room size and layout features. Variations in the center distance from 200 to 500 mm and different section heights allow installing Base series radiators with any type of window openings. The weight of one section does not exceed 2 kg, so assembly and installation are quick and easy.

The Alp series is an improved model of the basic series of Rifar sectional radiators. A distinctive feature is a shallow depth, which is important when installing a heating battery under narrow window sills without a niche. The inner structure of each section is similar to the previous line, but the outer part of the case differs in the arrangement of aluminum surfaces for maximum heat transfer at a shallow depth. The center distance is standard for the Alp line and is 500 mm. Due to the shallow depth, each section weighs less than 1.5 kg, which makes installation easier and expands the possibilities for choosing the type of radiator mounting.

Both series of Rifar sectional radiators work with the same type of heat carrier, which is allowed to use technical water specified in accordance with GOST parameters. The manufacturer's warranty is 10 years, while compliance with the operating conditions increases the warranty period of the device's uninterrupted service to 25 years.

Selection Tips

When choosing heating batteries, it is necessary to take into account the technical features and operating conditions. The technical features possessed by heating batteries allow them to be installed in systems with forced operation of a heating agent. Rifar models have high heat output and long service life. Installed in high-rise buildings.

When choosing bimetallic radiators, you must focus on their positive qualities:

  • Tightness thanks to the polyurethane bushing, which acts as a connecting element of the sections.
  • High thermal performance - one section has a capacity of 0.104, 0.136, 0.204 kW. The maximum height of one section is 57 cm. Batteries are produced in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 sections. The heated area of the room is 25 m2.

Monolithic bimetallic batteries are considered the most reliable heating systems recommended for educational, medical and administrative applications.

High heat transfer is created due to the optimal ratio of heat from the radiation and convection chambers. However, the heat transfer of such models is slightly less than that of conventional bimetallic batteries.

The main advantages of monolithic bimetallic radiators:

  • the diameter of the pipe makes it possible to do without adapters during installation;
  • tightness, which is ensured by laser welding of heating equipment.

However, monolithic bimetallic batteries cannot be connected to the autonomous heating system of cottages. The recommended optimum connection is to centralized heating systems.

An equally important point when choosing a bimetallic battery is the option to connect it. Rifar radiators come with side and bottom connections, each of the options has some advantages.

Radiators with side connection - "Ventil". The connection is made by a special node, which is located at the bottom of the contour. It often happens that after installation and connection, uneven heating of the sections occurs. To optimize heating, it is necessary to install a flow extension, which will ensure intensive circulation of the coolant. The connection is made up-down. Thus, the heating agent will be supplied from the top, and the outlet will be through the lower channel. Also, with a large number of sections, a flow extension may be required.

Bottom connection radiators ensure stable operation of the heating system without installing additional elements. However, to squeeze air from the device, it is necessary to connect a Mayevsky valve and a thermostatic head.

In the passport of each device, the manufacturer indicates recommendations for the installation and operation of the product:

  • Water as a heat carrier with a hydrogen index of 7 - 8.5. When using another thermal agent, there is no guarantee that the radiator will work.
  • In order to avoid premature corrosion, you must take care of grounding, grounding when using pipes made of metal or piping made of dielectric materials.
  • The radiator must be installed by a specialized installer.
  • The radiator must reach room temperature before installation.
  • Cannot be installed in rooms with high humidity levels (over 75%).

Only when these recommendations are followed can you not worry about the duration of the heating radiator's service life.

In the next video, you will find a video presentation of the production of Rifar heating radiators.

Thermal characteristics of Ogint radiators with a center distance of 500 mm:

Heat transfer from heating radiators is one of the main parameters that must be taken into account when choosing heating devices.

This indicator directly determines the efficiency of space heating. When choosing radiators, it is imperative to take into account what kind of heat transfer the offered devices have.

The table above shows the heat transfer characteristics of one section for Ogint radiators, which, according to this parameter, are among the best in the modern domestic market. This data allows you to compare the heat transfer for different types of radiators.

The heat transfer index, or power, of radiators characterizes how much heat the device gives off to the environment per unit of time.

When choosing heating devices, a calculation is carried out according to the heat transfer formula of radiators in order to determine the power of the battery. The resulting value is correlated with the heat loss of the room.

The optimal power is considered, which covers the heat losses by 110-120%. This is the best heat dissipation at which the rooms are kept at a comfortable temperature.

Insufficient power will not allow the battery to heat the room efficiently. Increased heat dissipation leads to overheating. For autonomous heating systems, too high battery power also means increased heating costs.

To increase heat transfer, you can add additional sections to the radiator or change the wiring diagram.

For autonomous heating systems, an increase in the temperature of the heating medium may also be available. When using any of these methods, the heat transfer of the radiators must be recalculated first.

Thus, when choosing devices for a heating system, it is necessary to take into account their material and design features characteristic of a particular type of radiator.

Calculation of heating batteries per room

Determine the number of products only after calculating the required number of sectional elements. Next, you need to decide how many devices you will be installing. In our example, it turned out that one should have 10 sectional parts. It can be a whole product installed under a window. For a corner room, it is better to divide this number in half or into 4 and 6 parts and mount it according to the device at each outer wall. Another option is to calculate the amount of heat required to heat the room:

  1. For our example, it is - 100 * 16 = 1600 W or 1.6 kW.
  2. Next, select a specific product and determine its heat transfer by multiplying the characteristic of one element of the same name by their number. For example, let's take a 6-section model with 180 W for one part - 6 * 180 = 1080 W.
  3. Divide the required heat value by the power of the entire device - 1600/1080 = 1.48. We round this value up. As a result of the calculations, we get the number equal to 2.

Varieties of aluminum batteries

Note! Aluminum radiators are produced by two methods - casting and extrusion. When using the casting method, each section is manufactured separately

The raw material is silumin - aluminum with silicon additives not exceeding 12%. By molding, sections of various shapes are obtained that can withstand pressure up to 16 atmospheres.

The extrusion method is used to make not radiators, but their separate parts, then fastened together. This method makes it possible to reduce the cost of production, but in terms of technical characteristics, batteries created by the extrusion method are inferior to cast ones. They also have one more drawback - it is impossible to change the number of sections in the radiator.

It should be noted another type of aluminum batteries - anodized type. They are the most expensive and by far the highest quality. The raw material for their production is purified aluminum. The finished product is anodized, due to which it becomes absolutely non-corrosive. Individual parts in such radiators are connected by couplings.

Therefore, inside they are absolutely smooth, which means that they are not afraid of scale overgrowth. Their working pressure is up to 70 atmospheres.

Types of heating radiators Rifar

The range of Rifar products is quite diverse. The company produces monolithic and sectional radiators. There are products with a radius of curvature that are designed for rooms with convex or concave walls. Batteries are most often painted white, but at the request of the client, any shade is selected.
Depending on what material Rifar radiators are made of, they are divided into the following types:

  • aluminum. Rifar products are made of very high quality and durable aluminum, which is able to withstand pressure surges and large temperature changes. Such batteries have a very attractive appearance, and a wide range of Rifar products allows you to choose the model you like for any room.
  • bimetallic. Such batteries are considered reliable due to the combination of several materials at once, while the level of heat transfer from the heating source to the air increases significantly.

Technical characteristics of bimetallic heating radiators Rifar

As a result, a large heat transfer is achieved.

Structurally, bimetallic radiators practically do not differ from aluminum ones. Therefore, they are designed to maximize efficient heat transfer. On average, the heat transfer of Ogint bimetallic radiators is 175-185 W, only slightly inferior in this indicator to aluminum ones.

The following parameters affect the heat transfer of heating radiators:

  • the temperature of the coolant in the system. The higher the temperature, the more heat the batteries give off;
  • radiator material. Different metals have different heat transfer and thermal conductivity coefficients;
  • useful area of heat exchange. Determined by the design of the radiator.
For example, the heat exchange surface of radiators with a center distance of 500 mm is larger in comparison with devices with a center distance of 380 mm. The ribbing also significantly increases the usable area.

Maximum heat transfer is achieved due to the high thermal conductivity of aluminum. In addition, the radiators have a significant fin area and an advanced design that ensures the most efficient convection and radiation heat transfer.

So, the heat transfer of the section of the Ogint aluminum radiator averages about 190 W.
