How to calculate indoor air exchange

Air exchange is calculated using different methods:

    The calculation by frequency assumes an indicator of how many times per hour a complete air exchange should take place in the room. For example, in the bedroom, study or dining room - 1 time, in the bathroom and toilet - 25 times. All norms for multiplicities are given in regulatory documents and GOSTs. A more detailed calculation is carried out according to the formula: L = n * V (m3 / h), where n is the normalized rate of air exchange, hour-1, V is the volume of the room, m3.

    To calculate the multiplicity, you need:

  • Calculate the volume of each room. Volume = length x width x height.
  • Calculate the volume of air for each room. Formula: L = n x V.
